The reboot of cult classic film 'The Crow' has added FKA twigs to its cast.

A reboot of the 1994 cult classic film The Crow has been in development hell for well over a decade. It’s cycled through several directors and a laundry list of Hollywood’s top talent – Jason Momoa, Kristen Stewart, Nicholas Hoult, Tom Hiddleston, Channing Tatum, Ryan Gosling and more have all been linked, yet all attempts have fallen through.

Finally, however, a new iteration of The Crow is about to take flight. It has secured Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) as director and Bill Skarsgård (best known as Pennywise in the It movies) as the lead. Now, with the film gearing up for a June production start, it’s made another intriguing casting.

FKA twigs is set to star in the reboot as the fianceé of main character Draven (Skarsgård), a role originated by Sofia Shinas in the 1994 film. That was a very small role (no spoilers, but the character is… taken out of the way early on), but it’s claimed that twigs will play a much more developed version of the character who will co-lead alongside Skarsgård.

Twigs is no stranger to acting, having played a key role alongside former boyfriend Shia LeBeouf in his 2019 autobiographical film, Honey Boy. She’s also continued her entanglements with the film world lately by recording an original song for the soundtrack of recent blockbuster The King’s Man.
