Scottish singer-songwriter Roma Rose delivers the heartfelt and wistful "Fourteen".

Following from an array of captivating singles last year, singer-songwriter Roma Rose is back with a personal new tune, “Fourteen”. She has a EP due later this year and 2022 looks set to be a big one for the artist.

Hailing from Scotland, Roma took a break from music to have her first child. This experience fuelled tracks such as “Mother of the Boy in the Band”, and opened the doors to her unique brand of stripped-back and intimate songwriting. “Fourteen” is deeply vulnerable, inspired by memories of her friend whom she lost at just fourteen.

About the track, Roma offers: “this is a song extremely close to my heart and revisits losing my best friend. I had an early version swilling around my head for a few years and eventually took it into the writing room with Jessica Sharman (Gabrielle Aplin) and Femke (Belle Mt) who both co-wrote on the track, with Femke producing […] I hope this song goes a tiny way to honour her beautiful spirit.”

Her upcoming EP is due this Autumn, and she has teamed up with songwriters and producers across London and Nashville. A project supported by Arts Council England, it aims to support and celebrate women and mothers in music. All of the five tracks have been produced by a different female producer, as Roma Rose continues to carve her own path.
