Renowned actor and performer, Johari Noelle, serves up her summery new single, “Get Free”.

Johari Noelle is more than a musician. In 2015, she went from posting song covers on YouTube to being mentored by Destiny Child’s Kelly Rowland and choreographer Frank Gatson Jnr. on national television. Since, the multitalented star has appeared as an actor on FOX series “Empire” and “Proven Innocent”, as well as performing her music on Fox Music News and Sofar Sounds. The performer is well on her way toward conquering both the musical and the on-screen world.

This summer, the Chicago-based artist returns with her lavish and sensual new track, “Get Free”, in collaboration with esteemed producers David Phelps and Biako. Drawing on soul, jazz, and even with a touch of reggae, Noelle’s sumptuous vocals sit over shuffling drums which push toward a catchy and irresistible chorus – dancing is unavoidable.

Noelle has explained her inspiration behind the track: “I wrote ‘Get Free’ to bring ease and joy to myself and others. You can’t love anyone without limits until you first love yourself without them and that’s the message.”

Speaking more about the release, Noelle has said: “My music is about getting out how I feel and being very present in that moment. It’s important for me to embrace myself in a way that empowers me to feel each emotion and remain in touch with myself. I want people to know that they aren’t alone in what they are feeling. I want to convey a sense of relatability. My songs are meant to touch people. I want you to feel peace and comfort. I want to create something that creates conversation or community through shared experiences.”

With her silky and sanguine sound and a fresh new EP dropping later this year, Noelle will be making waves on the R&B scene.
