Young Nigerian artist Azanti returns with fresh visuals for his latest track “Gettin’ Hot”.

Coming out of the Nigerian collective Apex Village, Azanti already has two critically acclaimed EPs under his belt, released in just under two years. The Toronto-based artist’s new track “Gettin’ Hot” comes alongside a music video shot in Accra, Ghana.

Azanti joined Nigerian collective Apex Village aged just 16. Multitalented, the artist counts singer, songwriter, producer, and musician as part of his skill set, having taught himself guitar, bass, drums and keys. Now 18, since his debut in 2020 he’s been co-signed by some of African music’s biggest names including Mr. Eazi, Sarz, and Joeboy.

Having made some big guest appearances this year, new release “Gettin’ Hot” is Azanti’s solo title. Offering a funky afrobeats vibe ready for the dancefloor, the artist’s flow is offset by production from Ramoni. Filmed in Accra, the colourful visuals were directed by frequent collaborator Cindy Ihua, with nods to classic 90s cinematography. Depicting a party boy who gets the house to himself, it’s a summer invite we’d be after.
