23-year-old songwriter Ryan Ashley is staking his claim in the R&B scene with the new ex-bashing bop "Guess My Friends Were Right".
Electro R&B wunderkind Ryan Ashley brings the smooth summer anthem you’ve been waiting for with his new single “Guess My Friends Were Right”. This latest track from Ashley’s anticipated new EP “Innocent” is a catchy R&B pop fusion inspired by his desire to turn a friend’s shitty break up into something they could bash and laugh about. The playful songwriting gains added depth and meaning with his soulful rich vocals and heart-warming honesty.
At just 23 years old, Ashley has made a name for himself as a rising songwriting talent, writing professionally for artists such as MNEK, Becky Hill & H.E.R since he was 15 . Having won his first Grammy award earlier this year, Ashley’s latest music only cements his reputation as a charismatic new R&B voice. In his free time, Ashley has also been helping out MNEK with his LGBTQ+ Songwriting Camp – what a guy.
Ryan Ashley will be performing his first headline show ever at The Curtain Hotel on October 24th, shortly after the release of his forthcoming EP, tickets available here. Until we can get our ears on his exciting new music, have a listen to the exclusive release of, “Guess My Friends Were Right”.
