Chicago twins carly and martina release their glowing alt-pop single “Heartbreak” rippling with 90s nostalgia.

Bound by blood, producer and writing duo carly and martina have a penchant for blending commercial pop influences with edgy production. Although drawing inspiration from a range of influences, from the Cure to Olivia Rodrigo, the duo has created a sound that is distinctly their own. With nostalgic bass riffs and winding melodies, their new single “Heartbreak”, lives up to their reputation.

Discussing the release, the twins explain: ‘“heartbreak”’ is about loving someone so much that you realize how much you have to lose.  It’s about that moment when you look at someone and realize that if this doesn’t work, this is going to be the worst heartbreak of your life.’

As well as gaining support from Spotify, Apple and Shazam through key editorial placements such as Ones to Watch and American Songwriter, carly and martina have also had their music featured on HBO Max, Amazon Prime, Hulu and an Emmy nominated Apple TV show.
