Pearl (formerly known as Pearl The Girl) tells it how it is in post-love tune "Honeymoon Suite".
“Honeymoon Suite is a song about the romance dying in a relationship”, Pearl explains. Once you take those rose coloured glasses off you realise you’ve invested in a human that didn’t deserve you and all you want is your money back.”
The indie-pop number shows a playful yet down-to-earth side of the Sydney singer-songwriter as she unpacks some all-too-relatable feelings after the ending of a previously rosy relationship. Featuring vintage synths and a funk-soaked melody, the warm track bumps with Pearl’s cool and sassy vocals, giving the track its bittersweet edge.
