San Diego singer-songwriter Tea Janee releases her second single, inspired by fellow radio pop acts like Ariana Grande and Zara Larsson.

21-year-old alt-pop artist Tea Janee is gathering hype thanks to her whimsically performed singles, which she only started to release in October. Following the Avril Lavigne-Esque punk pop ballad “You Like To Play With Fire”, today, Janee dropped her new track “I Don’t Wanna Talk About It”. It’s only her second ever single but the Doja Cat-influenced tune shows her versatility and ability to adapt to different popular genres.

Receiving playlist support from streaming services like Spotify, Tea Janee’s well-produced and structured tunes are bubbling online and growing a fanbase of radio pop fanatics. She began writing songs at the age of 13, and ever since, she’s used it as a way to combat and express her own feelings. The Californian sees music as her diary, and thankfully, she welcomes us into her inner thoughts with open arms.

“I Don’t Wanna Talk About It” is a flirtatious track packed with sexy trap sounds and sensually layered hooks. Made with girly pre-drinks in mind, or for people who want to let loose and live in the moment, it’s a fun take on the tragic over-thinkers who want somebody whilst not willing to pursue them with words.
