Soul and RnB newcomer Tertia May teams up with the Cold Callers for their latest track, “In My Head”.

An exciting addition to UK’s music scene, Tertia May and the Cold Callers swoop their way into the scene with an old school, lo-fi, underground themed visual following the release of their single “In My Head”.

Taking us on a trip down memory lane, the duo bring a strong sense of nostalgia throughout the video, through the faintly blurred effects, vintage car and cassette player right at the beginning of the video. Produced by longtime friend of Tertia, Subculture adds his louche bassline and mellow beats to the duo’s hazy new track. Speaking of the visuals, directors Ruby+Boya told us: “We both resonated with “In My Head” instanty, and wanted to depict the souldfull contemplative feel of the sound with a visual that told a story through no obvious narrative but rather a curation of vignettes that speak for themselves”. Tertia added: It was refreshing working with Ruby and Boya because they interpreted the message behind this song exactly how I imagined it to be in a visual context. We wanted to reflect the idea of confusion and haziness when in a relationship and I feel that there are many moments in this video which represent that; The breakdown of the car is a metaphor for the breakdown of a relationship.”

Standing up for the means of self-love, this duo really bring back old school hip-hop vibes with the carefully selected camera angles, zooms and effects; a creative triplet no one would have seen coming, but are no unstoppable.
