Ahead of her Boiler Room Barcelona performance, LOVEFOXY spins us a mix for those days when you need a little push.
Quite frankly, there is not really a whole choosing process but rather a good old vibe check. You do have your bangers, your faves and your iconic starters and then you just puzzle around. I tend to have more fun when I don’t plan but play in the moment. This whole mix is an ode to vibey 90s house music and that was all I was looking out for when playing it. I just had fun with it.
Was there any external influence or inspirations?
My inspirations stem from the experiences I gathered throughout my life growing up in Berlin’s very unique techno & house scene. We did everything way too early and way too often but then remembering back, these tumultuous times shaped me for the better in so many ways – especially in my love for house music. Today, in 2022 – almost post-pandemic and back to a new normal – I have an urge more than ever to bring these times and feelings back to the dance floor. An unapologetic joy and excitement for the moments we get to cherish together. I almost owe it to everyone who takes the time to listen to my sets!
Where do you imagine people listening to the mix?
Honestly, wherever you can enjoy a little push and uplift. There is no limits, just love, and as long as you’re feeling it then this is your mix. Enjoy my loves!
