“Iz Going” by Bad Boy Timz

Afropop rising star Bad Boy Timz burst onto the scene three years ago. Since then, he’s released a stream of hits including “Move”, MJ” and “Loading”.  The artist’s latest offering is “Iz Going”, a dance-ready bop perfect for summer. Accompanying fresh visuals have also dropped.

“Check And Balance” was Timz’s first single, followed by a self-titled debut EP ‘Timz’. Striking a chord and rapidly building a fanbase, in the year of release alone, the EP accumulated over 10 million streams. He went on to win ‘Rookie of the Year’ at the Headies Awards, and has been collaborating with the likes of Mayorkun and Blaqbonez.

Written and composed by Timz, new track “Iz Going” was produced by multi-platinum selling creator Tempoe. The newly released visuals were shot on location in Lagos, Nigeria. Directed by Viktor Awuse, the story of a boy-meets-girl is told against the joyful beat. About the track, Timz describes: “The title plays on a popular slang on the streets of Lagos, with a love story twist, and the video narrates a story of meeting someone you like, and doing all you can to get their attention”.
