Fresh from a Golden Globes win, audiences might be about to see more of Jennifer Coolidge in a certain iconic film-follow up.
A national treasure, public figure, and just an all-around icon, (not that she needs the introduction), Jennifer Coolidge is taking 2023 by storm just two months in. Throughout the last couple of weeks, MGM’s Legally Blonde movie has teased the return of the franchise for its third movie and once again surfaced discussion about Jennifer returning as the beloved character Paulette Bonafonté. In a conversation with Extra Jennifer enthusiastically explained: “Maybe it really is happening at this point. I would absolutely love to do Legally Blonde 3”.
Between her sharp-witted tongue and sophisticated slut-core elegance, Jennifer’s authentic comedic talent continues to age like fine wine. From the end of 2022 to now, the actress has been in constant rotation within the media. Recently celebrating winning her first-ever Golden Globes Award for ‘Best Supporting Actress’ in her show-stopping performance in The White Lotus, this is just a snippet of many flourishing moments the actress has had this year.
Legally Blonde 3 was initially confirmed to be in the works back in 2018 and has since seen several postponements due to the pandemic cutting back two years of progress. In 2021, Legally Blonde celebrated 20 years since its release, and now two years on, director Jamie Suk has confirmed the return of Reece Witherspoon, welcomed new screenwriters Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor and keeps fans eagerly waiting for more information on the topic of Jennifer’s return. But like Reese Witherspoon said: “There is no Legally Blonde 3 without Jennifer Coolidge”.
