Alt-pop up-and-comer, RAEYA, returns with her ethereal new single “Just Wanna Say".

Adept at creating emotive ambient alt-pop music teeming with creative instrumentation and a cinematic atmosphere, RAEYA delivers again with her new single “Just Wanna Say”. RAEYA’s delicate vocals melt fluidly into the surreal instrumental – ambient synths, subtle piano, sparse beats and picked guitar all combine to create a Taylor Swift-esque soundscape.

Speaking on the new single RAEYA explains: “I wrote this song after going through a series of painful events over a span of several years and it felt like the pain and hard times would never end. This song was inspired by my story, and I wanted to write something that would give hope and encouragement to other people out there too.”

Combining elements of Pop, Indie, Folk and Electronica, the track has been compared to the likes of Imogen Heap and The Japanese House – with a hint of Taylor Swift’s Folklore. “Just Wanna Say” displays RAEYA’s promising potential. Having performed for Sofar Sounds, with features in Indie Obsessive and Clout, RAEYA’s star is sure to keep steadily rising this year and beyond.
