Afrobeats powerhouse OMI continues to evolve his new musical soundscape with his melodic offering “Formula”.
OMI has come to be a name you can’t miss within the music industry. With the success of his 2014 hit single “Cheerleader” catching the attention of many, the artist has since gone on to release a string of sensational tracks. His latest offering, “Formula” is a melodic song introducing listeners to his latest chapter.
Throughout the years, OMI has developed his sound through catchy singles and has collaborated with a variety of artists such as Shaggy, Marcus & Martinus and The Vamps. Currently, on a journey of expanding his musical soundscape, OMI is seamlessly developing a brand-new sound inspired by pop, dancehall, afrobeats and more. Driven by soft R&B production and provocative lyrics, throughout “Formula” OMI shows a different side to his work.
Speaking about “Formula”, OMI says: “For the past little while I have been in the studio like a scientist in the lab. I have been writing, recording, mixing and remixing to put out the right ‘Formula’ for my now grown ‘Cheerleaders’. Let’s just call this segment of my new releases ‘After Hours’… dis right here is grown folk business!”
