Meet JONNYFENN: the multi-talented artist from Connecticut who is making waves in LA.
JONNYFENN is an independent artist, producer, and sound engineer based out of Los Angeles. Born and raised in Torrington, Connecticut, he has come a long way from his humble beginnings in the music industry. Today, he is a rising star in the world of hip-hop, and his unique sound is making waves among fans and critics alike.
JONNY got his start making music as a songwriter and rapper in Torrington. However, he soon realised that rapping wasn’t his forte and shifted his focus to singing. He picked up a beat pad when he was 18 years old, and that’s when things started to take off for him.
JONNY’s passion for music was sparked by his mother’s love for 1980s Broadway musicals, which she played all the time when he was growing up. He also drew inspiration from Kanye West, whose music and style had a huge impact on him. Kanye is the reason why JONNY picked up a beat pad in the first place, and his influence can be heard in JONNY’s music today.
Despite the challenges he faced growing up, including moving to 12-13 different schools before he got to high school and being homeless for a few weeks after getting kicked out of his house at 18, JONNY never gave up on his dreams. He worked the worst jobs imaginable, from cashier to dishwasher to overnight factory worker, but he never lost sight of his passion for music.
JONNY is an independent artist and has worked with some big names in the industry, including artists under Def Jam, Interscope, RCA, and Bighead’s label. His greatest achievement so far as a musician is getting into studios and working with serious artists that make a living from this industry.
For JONNY, music is about more than just creating catchy tunes and pleasing his fans. He wants his music to inspire others to never give up on themselves. He wants people to know that even when they’re feeling alone or about to give up, there are others out there who feel the same. JONNY’s music is a testament to the power of perseverance and determination, and he hopes that his fans will take that message to heart.
Fans of the artist can look forward to two new albums in the foreseeable future ‘U.G.L.Y. (You Gotta Love Yourself)’ and ‘WOW’. Both records are recorded, mixed, mastered, and produced by the artist himself, and he has teamed up with a talented group of musicians in LA to bring his vision to life.
