The Ghana-born, London-based musician returns with his latest hit, the catchy AF "LoLo".
When Eugy’s viral track “Dance For Me” featuring Mr. Eazi reached 60m streams, it was clear that the Ghana-born, London-based artist was set to make the big time. With humble beginnings moving to London from Ghana as a child, the artist spent his adolescence listening to the likes of Daddy Lumba and Koko Antwi, as well as the Gospel sounds from his Father’s church. These days, he’s well and truly making musical magic of us own. After being nominated for two MOBO awards, he’s now released his latest jam, the incredible “LoLo”, which is every bit as explosive as “Dance For Me”.
“I’ve spent the last year or so travelling the world, performing and exploring,” he says of his latest release, “I met so many people and experienced so many vibes, Lolo is a result of all the fun I’ve had.” A true thrill ride, the track is laden with guitar flecks, with fierce highs punctuated by a stellar vocal. His musical prowess means it comes as no surprise that he’s collaborating with some of the world’s biggest and best talents; Wavy the Creator, Mr. Eazi, Maleek Berry and Legendary Beats.
The video for the track was directed by industry heavyweight, Meji, who has previously worked with the likes of Giggs, Skepta, Wizkid and Swizz Beats. His visuals feature a plethora of wild dance-moves, wilder outfits and of course, the don Eugy showing us what he does best, all captured in sultry tones to add to the mood. The full package is Eugy at his best, and makes us eager to see exactly what he’ll do on his next release, with plenty more penned in for 2019.
