Afrobeats experimentalist Luca Zuccotti introduces us to his new sound on "Madda", the first single taken from his forthcoming debut album.
With his unique and melodic flow, Luca Zuccotti is building a versatile afrobeats sound that’s ready to go global. Rising to national acclaim, through early radio support from DJ Target, the artist embodies a relentless passion for his craft. It’s already been a whirlwind 2023 for the Manchester native, who’s just released his latest single “Madda”.
Finding a home in afrobeats’ warm and endearing tones, Luca originally grew a fondness for R&B, trap and soul. These elements still purr through his music, but a distinctively afro-futuristic flavour takes centre stage. Influenced by Manchester and the city’s multiculturalism, Luca’s rhythmic and undeniably catchy tracks are finding speakers beyond the North of England and propelling him towards the international limelight.
“Madda” is part of the singer-songwriter’s debut album, ‘Love Me Like Something’. Bathing in percussive instrumentation and his dexterous flow patterns, the track is a great introduction to Luca’s forward-thinking productions. Next up in Manchester’s burgeoning afrobeats scene, 2023 looks set to be his busiest year to date.
