Belgian singer-songwriter, Meskerem Mees, delivers haunting new folk track “Man of Manners” from her upcoming debut album Julius.

Armed with a ringing clear voice, her trusty guitar and the cello of friend and collaborator Febe Lazou, Meskerem Mees transmutes any track she touches into a folk-pop masterpiece. This is exactly what she has done with the lead single from her upcoming album, “Man of Manners”, a song that easily slots in amongst the powerful protest songs of greats such as Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell.

While only 22 years old, Meskerem Mees is an old soul who continues to deliver timeless folk music that has led her to blaze a trail all over Europe, performing everywhere from Berlin to Paris and even on the shores of Lake Geneva.

Now, Meskerem Mees unveils her debut EP Julius, a 13-track foray into her talent. With enchanting lyricism and equally beguiling vocals – as well as palpable chemistry with Febe – Julius is on its way to becoming an instant classic.

Meskerem Mees has a knack for getting into her listener’s hearts with her earworm melodies and thoughtful lyricism. With her new LP Julius, a folk star is born.
