Singer-songwriter John Roseboro reveals his charming debut single “Mere Mortal”.

John Roseboro is a man of many talents. Along with writing and performing the smooth vocals for his fresh music, he is also a visual artist, creator of the chilling track artwork for his musical debut.

Ahead of his first album “Human Nature”, the Haitian-American artist has released his first single “Mere Mortal”. A classic acoustic guitar and piano combo, with a folksy, jazzy vibe, is overlaid by existentialist lyrics. Perhaps inspired by his former work as a mortician, Roseboro creates a humorous contrast between the charming and pure simplicity of his sound, his warm, bright lyricism and the gloominess of his subject.

Roseboro explains, “the song is about wanting something to live (and die) for.”

With his earnest vocals and sweet and simple sound, Roseboro is already making a name for himself both in his hometown California and further afield.
