Multi-talented DJ, producer and pianist LP Giobbi takes us to Ibiza and beyond with this cosmic mix of thumping house music.
Releasing tunes on two of Britain’s most prestigious record labels is all in a day’s work for LP Giobbi. ‘Light Places’, the multi-talented DJ-producer’s debut album, dropped via Ninja Tune’s imprint Counter Records earlier this year, bringing a unique spontaneity and unpredictability to the world of house music. Expanding her production skills further, just in time to save summer, the rapidly rising selector made her Defected Records debut a month back with “Giodisco”.
Spearheading the production with infectious hooks and a joyous vibe, the sun-soaked single builds on disco’s foundations but crafts something completely unique to LP Giobbi. The classically trained musician has played high-energy shows across the globe, and the addition of “Giodisco” will only increase the vivacity of her performances further.
To celebrate what’s already been a prosperous year for the artist, LP Giobbi’s provided us a mix of house heaters currently filling dancefloors across the globe.
