The new issue is here and it was officially launched with a huge party at East London's Hoxton Pony.
We officially launched the latest issue of Notion last night at the Hoxton Pony. With performances from our Notion 76 stars Ashnikko and Ms Banks as well as our cover girl Mabel, the night was, of course, a rousing success. Our benevolent friends at Estrella Galicia and Zubrowka provided the drinks to ensure the vibe was right throughout and the folks at Swatch helped us host.
DJ Ønly kicked off the night, greeting the crowd with a heavy dose of RnB and hip hop before Girls Can’t DJ took over the decks. Then it was time for the feminist rap fireball that is Ashnikko. Fresh from the pages of our Intros section, she delivered a thumping set of hybrid bangers, whipping up the audience as the sun began to dip. Needless to say things were getting crowded downstairs and after a much needed smoke break it was Mabel’s time to shine. Showcasing her incredible voice Mabel had the crowd eating out of the palm of her hand, running through hits from her recent Bedroom EP as well as classics like ‘Thinking of You.’ All that was left was for Ms Banks to shut the whole thing down with her fire flows and send the crowd off into the night with bass ringing in their ears.
