Canadian neo-soul singer Miranda Joan releases new single, "My Muse".

Montreal born and Vancouver raised, Miranda Joan’s music is influenced by her multicultural French and English background. Her new track, “My Muse” draws again on familiar inspiration, a “sexy love song” to Joan’s passion and partner, music itself.

Her reverence of music legends such as Stevie Wonder and Carole King, as well as contemporary artists such as Erykah Badu and Anderson Paak, can be heard in Joan’s sound. Previous tracks such as ‘Home’, produced by Julian ‘J3PO’ Pollack, are reflections on life, fuelled by the experiences of leaving home and family for the first time.

Joan has recently returned to Vancouver after living in New York, performing on national tours and playing sold-out shows at venues such as the Guggenheim. Her community interest is evident through her work with charities such as SAY, The Stuttering Association for the Young, where she works as a music mentor.

With music as her muse in her latest single release, Joan has said: “I look for her – my muse – to bandage all my bumps and bruises with melody and lyrics, she is where I channel my spirit and a safe place to land my love.” The track is a love song to music itself, and we can’t wait to hear more.
