Turnt Tuesday: We raise a glass of BULLDOG Gin to celebrate the launch of Notion 83, with a slew of mega guest performers including Ms Banks and Shy FX.
Our launch parties have become synonymous with the top tier performers, dance-driven DJs and BULLDOG Gin. Is there really a better combination? For the Notion 83 launch, we brought the crowd. Taking place at Hangar in London Fields, the event included the likes of Ashley Roberts, Marcel Somerville of Blazin’ Squad and Sigma. Drinks were served up by our favourite alcohol brand, BULLDOG Gin, offering an array of cocktails including the SUPERSONIC G&T with tasty Fever Tree mixers, blackberries and cassis, ensuring that Notion fans were hydrated while dancing away to their faves.
On-stage, we had a stellar line up featuring some of our favourite talents from our new issue. First to grace the stage was in the incredible Skinny Malone. He took to the stage with his GVNG GVNG and performed some of his most epic tracks. Hyping up the crowd and getting them ready for an epic night, his set ended with him sweaty and shirtless, evidently giving it his all and turning up the temperature in Hangar – a pre-cursor for our impending performance from Ms Banks.
As our cover girl prepared backstage, DnB legend Shy FX spun some of his most iconic tracks including “Blind Faith” and “Shake Your Body”. No stranger to the stage, the DJ legend has played internationally and also is also creating an entirely new club space with his very own club night series, CULT.URE, which has seen DJing guests including Idris Elba, Mike Skinner and Notion cover star, Octavian.
For our final live act of the night, Ms Banks came through to get the booty’s bouncing and the ceiling dripping. A true tour de force within the music industry, the rising star of rap commanded the stage, performing her hits “Yu Zimme Rmx” (which is apparently a fave of Nicki Minaj) and “Snack”, for which she got a gaggle of girls on stage to show off their very best twerks and performed alongside Kida Kudz for the first time. Steered by her killer flow, the whole set was high energy, sexy and epic.
With a belly full of BULLDOG Gin and our ears revelling in sweet sounds, we round off another epic issue. Make sure to grab your favourite cover while you still can!
