Remember live music? Belting out lyrics at the top of your lungs, jumping around with your mates, jostling through the crowd, pints in your hands? It may seem like a distant memory, but thanks to a partnership with Amazon Music and Metropolis Studios, Notion is bringing it back – albeit from a distance.
On 21st October at London’s iconic Metropolis Studios, genre-bending duo, Everyone You Know, performed an exclusive live set, streamed to a lucky set of fans.
The historic recording space has previously played host to Freddie Mercury, Elton John, Stormzy, and now Everyone You Know.
Ahead of the performance, Notion caught up with Everyone You Know about their creative process, playing at Reading & Leeds, and remixing tracks.
The brothers – formed of Harvey and Rhys – have undeniable, magnetic chemistry after years of creating music together. Safe to say, everyone was anticipating the live performance.
Taking to the stage, Everyone You Know treated Notion, Amazon Music, and their streaming fans to a handful of get-up-and-groove performances.
Playing renditions of their popular tracks “She Don’t Dance”, “Drive” and “Our Generation” the pair also revealed the first-ever live performance of their uplifting brand new single “Let A Little Light In”.
Hailing from satellite towns of London, Everyone You Know pull influence from a wide range of sources, such as hip hop, punk and 90s rave, blending it all to create their own unique sound.
Garnering support from the likes of Amazon Music and renowned studios like Metropolis with their immense talent, there’s no doubt that Everyone You Know are here to stay.
