For its second year, Nova Batida continues to embody the electrifying essence of why everyone is flocking to Lisbon.
Located in what is probably the cities most creative and coolest district – Nova Batida returned for its second year at Portuguese’s coastal capital at the LX Factory and Village Underground in Lisbon. Championing a diverse range of activities which are designed to engage, create and experience alongside a complete dream of a line-up, Nova Batida set the bar even higher this year.
Across the weekend, the sun-soaked festival offered a programme of fitness and wellbeing classes, mindfulness workshops and surfing classes alongside its diverse music offering saw a headline performance from Four Tet alongside acts such as Ross From Friends, Jungle, Nubya Garcia and Hunee.

Bringing his experimental and idiosyncratic DJ set to the Portuguese capital, Four Tet created an explosive and unforgettable event that will stay in the minds of the attendees forever. Alongside him, Jayda G did what she does best and got people grooving with her throwback selections and undeniably cool taste For those who prefer a shot of island energy, Ibibio Sound System came with their flows and unmatchable vibes.
Alongside these incredible acts, festival-goers got to witness electrifying performances from the likes of Talib Kweli, Akala, Ross From Friends, DJ Seinfield, Mr Scruff, Floating Points, Ben UFO and many more.

Nova Batida went the extra mile this year with the accomplished goal of creating a fully-rounded experience for its attendees. Alongside its showcase of musical talent, Nova Batida hosted a diverse programme of exciting activities and workshops which created a unique and memorable experience for all festival-goers. As the energy-fuelled day comes to an end, attendees got the chance to unwind courtesy of Fat Buddha Yoga who was on-site providing free enlightening yoga and meditation classes. If that simply wasn’t enough, the festival offered bespoke surf lessons for anyone from beginner to advanced level in what is seen as one of the best surfing spots worldwide. If you’re the inquisitive type, feel free to join a number of museum tours and partake in creative workshops whereby delicious local street food and drinks will be available on-site to provide an array of Portuguese treats alongside cuisine from around the world.
