Sad Night Dynamite, yunè pinku, VC Pines and more will play Notion's stage at this year's The Great Escape Festival.
It’s now only a week until The Great Escape Festival, which continues to add new names to a host of stages around Brighton. Its most recent announcement includes our very own Notion line-up, which entertains some of Britain’s best contemporary voices across a vast musical spectrum.
Taking place at the iconic The Arch venue, which has served underground electronic music since 2015, the Notion stage will run all evening and night on Friday.
The evening show boasts five names synonymous with Britain’s rising music scenes. From the dreamy breakbeats of Yunè Pinku to VC Pines’ post-punk textures, and Nix Northwest’s indulgent rhyme schemes to synthpop stalwarts Quasi Qui, there’s plenty to immerse yourself in throughout the evening. And if that wasn’t enough, Somerset producer powerhouses Sad Night Dynamite will bring their genre-spanning back-catalogue to The Arch as well.
For those who still have their legs intact, we’ll be throwing a night show with three DJs bringing heat to dance floors around the world. Shanti Celeste’s endlessly exciting selections span techno, house and UKG; she’ll be taking to the ones and twos for a lush set of forward-thinking dance music. Accompanying her is south-east London selector NIKS, who’s quickly rising to the forefront of British electronic music, and Rinse FM resident Amaliah; the Borne Fruits label founder with a taste for high-energy rhythms.
Showcasing over 500 up-and-coming artists from around the globe, The Great Escape offers a labyrinth of music to get lost in across Brighton’s best venues. The Notion stage on Friday, however, is the place to be.
The Great Escape takes place in Brighton from May 10-May 13, and tickets are still available here.
