Electronic producer WMD offers us an exclusive preview of his latest captivating single, “Nowhere”.

Washington, USA, born and raised, Michael Erickson is an electronic producer better known by his musical moniker, WMD. Already accumulating streams in the millions, the artist is back with another cinematic track: new track “Nowhere”.

Known for his ability to create rich records brimming with nostalgia and reflective of deep emotional relationships, WMD has been honing his craft for longer than most. Learning to produce at a young age, he fell in love with the internet chiptune scene, but came to find his own complex sound. Taking live performances to stages such as The Crocodile in Seattle, he taps into sounds of Chillwave, Downtempo, and even Folk for his own brand of ethereal production.

His latest release is quintessence WMD, and the expansive “Nowhere” is calling to be added to a movie soundtrack. Discussing the new tune, the artist explains: “This song was one of the few on this record written during a two-week stay in northern Montana last winter. I had a cabin on a little private lake, which I set up a small studio in. I remember starting the song on acoustic guitar one evening while watching the sun set over the mountains.”

The single is taken from his forthcoming album ‘Deliquesce, set for release in early 2023. Also set to be available on vinyl, you can pre-save the single here
