Alongside three other promising talents, Contour teams up with Patta and Converse for their four-leaf clover themed drop.
Prolifically releasing music since 2017, Contour’s free-flowing grooves and jittery drum patterns are starting to get the recognition they deserve. The Charleston vocalist’s latest album, ‘Onwards!’, was released by South London-based movement Touching Bass. Aligning with the collective’s soulful pulses, the record’s astral-facing, trippy backdrops have put him on the map.
This month, Contour’s channelling his creativity with collaborative power houses Patta and Converse. Joining Paris Rabone, muva of Earth and Ojerime, the South Carolina native’s telling his story through their new capsule collection, which pays homage to the four-leaf clover. The drop features a limited-edition hairy suede One Star Pro as well as four pieces of apparel: an embroidered hoodie, baggy T-shirt, reversible work vest and cargo pocket trousers. Tapping Patta’s streetwear vigour, bold screen printed graphics make the pieces instantly recognisable, whilst offering a distinctively utilitarian allure.
Like Patta and Converse, Contour’s creating his own luck through uncompromising passion and effort. He was recently announced to play We Out Here festival and continues to occupy his own space with psychedelic-tinged jazz and funkadelia: unique and alluring, there’s something for everyone in his broad back-catalogue.
Spotlighting the stories of music’s most promising talents, the four-leaf clover campaign celebrates an undivided commitment to achieving your dreams. Yes, luck is needed, but as a rare figure in the cultural landscape, the likes of Contour will only ever achieve their goals.
The capsule collection will be available on Thursday, March 9th at 13.00 CET on patta.nl, the Patta mobile app and in stores at Patta Amsterdam, Patta London and Patta Milano. It will be available on Friday, March 10th 13.00 CET at Converse.com.
