Having made his return to the scene in December with his new single 'Paint California', NoMBe grabs us by the hand into his coloured-soaked world of indie renaissance.
NoMBe (Noah McBeth) continues to strive effortlessly towards the release of his hotly anticipated sophomore album, ‘CHROMATOPIA’, with his brand new single ‘Prototype’.
The Godson of Chaka Khan (no biggie!), NoMBe has already cemented himself as the new prince of indie/dream pop with ‘They Might’ve Even Loved Me’, a body of work that is infused with nostalgia and romance – we wouldn’t expect anything else from the heartthrob. When it comes to his latest project, ‘CHROMATOPIA’, we can expect an exploration of the duality of romance and all its spectrums.
Speaking on the latest track, NoMBe revealed, “Prototype is hands down my favourite song on the album. It came after a long period of self-doubt especially in regards to my relationship and how much I wanted to improve. In this song, I’m admitting that I’m flawed and that I’m actively trying to become a better me. I wrote it with my good friend Rush Davis and we were definitely channelling our inner Daft Punk on this one. With creating this album I started listening to a lot of French and Japanese Disco and it shines through on Prototype the most I think… I hope people will resonate with this song and its subject matter and find some time to dance in all the madness. Cheers!”
