In collaboration with

South London's Puma Blue and Mina Rose will perform exclusive intimate sessions at our first Some Original Noise session in association with SON Estrella Galicia.

This spring we’re teaming up with Estrella Galicia to bring some of our favourite new artists to the stage for Some Original Noise. A series of exclusive live sessions featuring cutting-edge talent in intimate settings, Some Original Noise will bring Notion to life and bring readers and fans closer to the artists they love. Even better, tickets are free.

The first SON session takes place later this month, on April 23rd with the inimitable Puma Blue headlining Ninety One Brick Lane. Over the last few years South London’s Puma Blue has made a name for himself with a lo-fi mix of jazz, electronica, R&B and indie, conjuring spellbinding, often sparse tracks out of thin air. Known to his friends as Jacob Allen, Puma Blue live is a unique experience with Allen joined by a full band, reworking his tracks on stage, ensuring no two performances are the same.

Support for Puma Blue comes from fellow London upstart Mina Rose. Having burst onto the scene with her art-pop-tinged take on reggae and dub, she’s been hailed as one to watch across the board. Recent single ‘Lemons and Limes’ proved her ability to craft both catchy hooks and warped beats that can’t help but leave you skanking. Our Some Original Noise session will be a rare chance to see the newcomer live before she takes over.

Having already bought the likes of IAMDDB, Ebenezer and Disciples to intimate venues across the UK last year, Some Original Noise is the next stage is our live partnership with Estrella Galicia. It’s going to be unmissable. Tickets for the first SON session are available now via DICE, completely free of charge.
