Bringing Canadian artists to Britain for a month of musical festivities, Quebec Spring 2023 does not disappoint with appearances due from Gayance, Bibi Club, Hanorah and more.

Bringing talent from Montreal to creative scenes in the UK, Québec Spring champions new music from Canada, showcasing artists across various British festivals. Taking place between April 14th to May 13th, the events will tap the past, present and future of Québécois music, spotlighting a diverse roster of future international hitmakers.

Releasing on Sherelle’s Beautiful Music label, Gayance’s ties to the UK are inextricable. She’ll be playing at the Shacklewell Arms today alongside Laurence-Anne and Hanorah, boasting a range of underground electronic sounds from Québec and beyond. Canada House’s The Great Escape Festival showcase provides another highlight. R&B singer-songwriter Odreii, who fuses Caribbean pop and acoustic sounds, is taking to the stage alongside Bibi Club, Fernie and Vanille.

Québec Spring will also be taking over FOCUS Wales this May. Boasting a multi-venue display of otherworldly music, the festival is renowned in Wrexham for spotlighting a carefully curated selection of local and global artists. The bill is completed by soul queen Hanorah, indie pop stalwarts Ivytide, Brazilian-Canadian Fernie and synthpop merchant Laurence-Anne.

Montreal has long been a hotbed of creativity, nurturing the early careers of artists like Kaytranada, Mac Demarco and Grimes. Québec Spring gives Britons the chance to find their new favourite Canadian performers before anyone else while contributing to the country’s growingly diverse musical landscape.
