Dublin hailing pop artist, Franki, releases glowing new-pop single “Redo”.

Pairing a relaxed aesthetic with laid back, soft pop, Franki’s sound consists of layered vocals, modern production, and a blend of real and synthesised elements. After releasing his debut single “Santa Monica” in the Summer of 2020, Franki followed up with two equally exciting singles “I Meant It” and “are u gonna”. With Spotify editorial support via New Music Friday UK, New Pop UK, Fresh Finds: Pop, Franki has also acquired backing from the likes of BBC Introducing.

The Dublin artist’s latest track “Redo” is loaded with noughties feel-good pop nostalgia. Blending groovy guitar lines with souring pads, the sound nods to the likes of M83, Temper Trap, and The Naked and Famous. “Redo” has a real sense of care-free flair that makes it a retro pop song fuelled by sleek modish production.

Discussing the single, Franki explains, “Redo was the first song I ever wrote for this project and came at a time when I was second-guessing myself a lot and questioning all of my decisions, wanting to go back and do them again. Especially when it came to relationships. I think people generally have an issue with absolving themselves of responsibility and I wanted to honestly reflect my own arrogance. I think doing that and being this honest with myself in my songwriting has been extremely valuable to me since then and that honesty in my songs is something I hold quite close.”
