Singer-songwriter Emei returns with another alternative pop offering, “Regrets”, a track about irrational decisions.

Emei is an artist with an array of talents. Having got to third place on Chinese Idol at just 15 years old, Emei quickly showed her capabilities, having performed a string of stadium shows.  “Regrets,” is the latest release by the Los Angeles-based artist, seeing her bounce back with a climactic alt-rock track. Following the release of her summer hit single, “Trust Issues,” – “Regrets,” sees Emei embrace complete transparency through introspective lyrics.

Having built her music career on sheer ambition, Emei’s passion has secured her a range of incredible experiences, including performing on Dancing with the Stars of China, featured on the cover of Salt, Fresh Finds Pop and more. Reaching global acclaim with her 2021 hit single,  “Late To The Party” saw the artist hit 5.2 million streams on Spotify.

Reaching whopping numbers just two years into her career, Emei’s new release sees her push boundaries. Talking about the single, she explains, “Regrets,” “was inspired by one of my night time journal entries consisting of a brain dump of every single stupid regret I’ve had. It starts with a light-hearted sarcastic list and it devolves into all the things that I shouldn’t have done and the things I wish I could change. This single is the last single leading up to my debut EP and a glimpse into my hectic, existential, late-night brain.”
