Sasha Keable will have you swooning from the first time you hear her voice, we meet the South London singer for this week's Internet Crush.

Having graduated from BRIT School and collaborated with the likes of Dev Hynes and Disclosure, Sasha Keable is destined for success. You’ll have heard her voice on Disclosure’s early hit ‘Voices’ or on any number of tracks from EPs Black Bookand Lemongrass and Limeleaves, and now after a minute out of the limelight Keable is back with a soulful new single ‘That’s The Shit’. We’re hoping it’s the first new track of many from Keable this year so we got to know her for this week’s Internet Crush.

Do you remember your dreams? Tell us about a recent dream you’ve had…

Last night I dreamt the world was freezing over and all these animals had been frozen into place with their families, it was so sad and then my boyfriend told me he loved someone else and I was crying and screaming and then I flew up into space on a rocket to get away from it all. A lot more happened but that was the general gist of it.

Describe your sound in three words…

Emotional, bitter, love.

What’s your star sign?

I’m a Pisces, and yes I’m a typical Pisces; loyal, sensitive, love to escape reality and bad at schedules.

When was the first time you had your heart broken?

I was like 16, my first boyfriend cheated on me a lot, he was very manipulative. I just wrote about it until I couldn’t write anymore, he was a twat.

Who was your first celebrity crush?

Beyoncé.

What would your biography be called?

This book is depressing, don’t read it.

What was the first song you ever wrote?

I was about 8/9, it was an ode to Brandy if I remember right.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?

Things can only wind you up as much as you let them.

How was high school?

I went to two different ones, I hated the first one and loved the second.

Is sex important to you?

Yes and no, sometimes I would rather cuddle than have sex. But that answer varies from day to day I think. Ask me again another time.

What’s the biggest problem facing humans as a species?

Social media. NO QUESTION. We’re completely disconnected from each other and reality.

Describe your own personal idea of hell…

Being away from my dog for too long, she’s my rock.

What’s a lie you’ve told and what was the fallout?

I lied in an eye exam when I was about 10 so I could get glasses because I thought they looked really cool, we were so broke at the time and my mum had to fork out £80 for glasses that I didn’t need. I told her years later thinking she would find it funny but she got really upset and told me how much we were struggling for money at the time, I felt so bad.

Which talent would you most like to have?

I’d like better social skills, I get such bad social anxiety so I’d like to be able to go out without feeling overwhelmed, I think being able to talk to people is a talent. And I’d like to play the bass. Just because.

What’s one thing we can all do to contribute to equality?

Be vocal in your tight circles, if your male friends say something sexist, pull them up on it, if your grandad says something racist, pull him up on it. We don’t have time to pussyfoot around ignorance.

When was the last time you cried and why?

Probably last week, probably because I was doubting myself. I’m the worst to myself.

What will you be doing at the end of the world?

Getting drunk with my family and friends.
