Rising UK MC Scuti’s charismatic flow cherry-picks from drill, grime and trap flavours to make something solely Scuti. The former 237 collective affiliate gets us in the know in Notion 87!

The former 237 collective affiliate has been spitting bars since she was just 10 years old. Now, with a little help from producers like Earbuds and her cousin TN, things are taking off for the south Londoner with the release of tracks like “Skoowup”. Do not sleep on Scuti!

Where are you from?

South London. Both of my parents are from Jamaica slash England.

What’s the best thing about where you’re from?

The culture. Jamaican culture has touched the whole world.

Bedroom recording or studio?

I’ll get busy anywhere. Some of my biggest songs were made in the most unlikely places.

Is it important for you to do things DIY?

Hell yeah! Born alone, die alone!

Earliest musical memory?

Recording “Let’s Get It Started” at ten years old. Big up my Uncle Simon and Ethan for patterning the studio for me.

How was high school?

Fuck high school (all kids ignore).

What’s your star sign?

Libra. I wouldn’t say typical but near enough.

Have you ever broken the law?

I get high so I guess I have broken the law. Never been punished… Maybe the feds listen to my tunes?!

What would you call your biography?

‘This is Skoo’.

Do you remember the first song you wrote? What was it called/about?

Let’s get it started.

What’s your process?

Good weed, good beats and good energy. Those three things combined will always produce a banger!

Are we alone in the universe?

Definitely not. Ask the government.
