North London rapper Artan knows how to tap into all the highs and lows of the human experience. Unafraid to convey the difficulties he faces in life through his music, Artan discusses everything from relationship struggles to self-examination in his raps.

 

Since releasing his first music in 2017, Artan has released a steady stream of singles, two EPs, and an album, although it was last year that the rising rapper garnered attention with his single “Falling”. This year, his song “Uncomfortable” was named as BBC Introducing’s ‘Track of the Week’, solidifying his status as one to watch.

 

As an incredibly open and emotive artist, it’s no wonder that Artan’s melodies and lyricism are creating some buzz. “I’m just telling my story, and I hope something good’s gonna come out of it”, he says.
