The DJ creating her own genre, Francesca Lombardo debuted her first album “Life of Leaf” last year and we get the intel on her favourite disco-driven 10Trax of the moment…

An ode to holiday memoirs of Ibiza pool parties, wild nights on the slopes or lazy beach days, Francesca Lombardo’s debut album takes eclectic influences from her classical orchestral past and combines this with the future of electronic dancehall music.

After working in the industry for 21 years, Lombardo seeks new goals releasing her 11-track album peppering her tracks with trance-like piano melodies and delicately smooth orchestral touches. Liking her new album to the essence of her being: forward-thinking, powerful and made from the heart, the tracks aim to inspire and empower individuals with its upbeat and multi-dimensional momentum.

Paving her own way through the dance floor music jungle, this successful Italian-born DJ has embraced her past, training at the Conservatorium of Music in Italy studying vocal techniques and piano, and playing in the all-female electro-rock band – Purity, talentedly taking responsibility for a number of aspects in the band.

Using her past nuances has allowed her to create her own unique sound and places her in good stead proven by her career highlights at IMS Dalt Villa, Burning Man, Tomorrowland, Get Lost and Circoloco. Lombardo’s extensive industry expertise has also provided her with the notoriety of speaking three times at the International Music Summit in Ibiza. Here she has spoken about empowering women in the industry and how to stand out from the crowds with similar dreams. Success seeks Lombardo, so there’s no second-guessing that this year will be her best yet.
