Icelandic duo JóiPé x Króli have been making waves around Iceland and beyond for a few years now. With their sharp and sometimes nihilistic lyrics, we catch the boy wonders before they take to the stage at Iceland Airwaves.

The Icelandic duo, JóiPé x Króli, calls you to forget flash, fast cars and attractive women, but instead embrace bars spat about being ignored by girls and cruising down the street… in the family-owned Hatchback.

Proudly donning fake gold chains around their necks, meet the budding rap duo  – JóiPé x Króli, who are transcending nations and subverting the traditional hip-hop norms with their witty lyrics and hard-hitting production.

After dropping their single B.O.B.A, which garnered more YouTube views than people in Iceland, as part of their album ‘GerviGlingur’ (Fake Jewellery) JóiPé x Króli are back, having dropped an EP early October, unplanned and unannounced. What’s more, the Icelandic duo speedily recorded the project in only a single night.

This is obviously a testament to JóiPé x Króli’s productivity and creative process, which is rooted in their ability to connect with audiences through their relatable and often hilarious experiences, in combination with popular and addictive beats.

But for now, check out the 10Trax that the two are putting on repeat before catching them killing it at Airwaves Festival.
