Fresh from releasing her new EP 'Resurface', Leeds-based turntablist NikNak selects us 10 summer tunes to play over 10 hours.

"Washed Away" by Kelela (Kidkanevil edit)

This is sunshine in a bottle. It's the perfect amount of an Amen break with Kelela's lush vocals and pads. Stunning.

"Kalifornia" by Mos Def

Something fairly rare and minimally beautiful from the iconic rapper.

"At the River" by Groove Armada

As soon as this starts, I'm always transported to a beach. It's a mega iconic trip-hop track; I hope the genre makes a strong comeback someday.

"Hot Take" by Mia Koden

This one is a modern take on steppas from such a dope artist. It's on repeat often, gwarn!

"More Than A Woman" by Aaliyah

Aaliyah was one of the legends taken far too soon from us. Her voice still has me in a chokehold.

"Flutter" by Bonobo

This is a classic from the hella dope "Dial M For Monkey" album. I understand that reference too, if you know you know.

"Angie Got Stoned" by Emalkay

The production on this is just nuts, and remains one of my all-time favourites in the 140bpm realm.

"Clair De Lune" by Kamasi Washington

A truly epic rendition of one of the best and most iconic classical pieces of music of all time. The dude knocked it out of the park.

"She lives in My Lap" by Outkast, Rosario Dawson

A super dope blast from the past, André 3000 took things to a whole new level here. Plus, Rosario Dawson's guest appearance gels everything together beautifully.

"Gabriel" by Roy Davis Jr.

The minute this starts playing, you're in for a singalong. Also, check out Om Unit's version, it's equally dope.
