Vera Hotsauce picks 10 spicy songs that inspired her debut album 'Hot n Saucy', out 4th September.

Swedish singer, songwriter, artist and producer, Vera Hotsauce, drops her debut album titled – what else? – ‘Hot n Saucy’.

Inspired by the fierceness and boundary-pushing nature of her fellow badass music queens, Charli XCX, Zara Larsson, Katy Perry, Missy Elliott and more, Vera Hotsauce has created an album that is bursting at the seams with electricity.

With a big second half of the year ahead of her, Vera has already been cementing herself as a go-to voice, thanks to her feature on Oscar Scheller’s new album and co-write and feature on the new smash-hit Dillon Francis single “Barely Breathing”. Join this with the delicious electro-pop music she’s been steadily dropping since 2018 and you’ve got a (spicy) recipe for success. No wonder Diplo’s a fan.

One of the reasons that Vera Hotsauce is undoubtedly gaining traction is her relatability. As a case in point, she says of her new record: “This album tells a story about an era. I’ve made so many stupid decisions that got me so many crazy memories and took me on so many f-d up adventures.”

Another reason why we have no choice but to stan Vera is her readiness to speak out against injustice. On the new record, “Ricochet” is a diss track aimed directly at rapper 6ix9ine and his treatment of young girls.

We asked Vera Hotsauce to pick ten tracks that inspired ‘Hot n Saucy’. Buckle up, she’s picked some bangers – and we wouldn’t expect anything less.
