WizTheMc selects 10Trax that you can't help but vibe to - from Dominic Fike to Outkast, Steve Lacy and more.

South African-born, Germany-raised, and Toronto-based singer, songwriter, rapper and producer WizTheMc is back with his latest single, “Do It Over”. It’s the third release from his upcoming EP, ‘Where Silence Feels Good’, due out next year.

Describing his sound as “borderless music”, Wiz’s DIY ethos and sticky pop hooks have been racking up tens of millions of streams. His peppy love bop “For A Minute” may have taken the internet by storm in 2020 but Wiz had been working his way into playlists around the world since 2018. Now with three albums under his belt, Wiz is gearing up to share even more tunes.

Now, WizTheMc has selected ten of his favourite tracks. Dive in!

"Honest" by Baby Keem

"After doing a deep dive into Baby Keem’s Disc. this song stuck out to me because of his tone of voice and his honesty (pun intended). Just sounds like he really knows himself and is honest with himself and that’s so comforting to listen to."

"Ivy" by Frank Ocean

"I remember listening to Ivy or the first time, it must’ve been around 2016 or 2017 and I got goosebumps immediately. “I thought that I was dreaming when you said you loved me” is one of my all time favourite and most relatable lyrics."

"Hey Ya!" Outkast

"This song to me is pure expression. Its so dancey and poppy and yet so honest and raw. A feeling I aspire to achieve with my own music."

"Good News" by Mac Miller

"Mac was one of those artists I really hoped to meet one day to share my appreciation with him and really just pick his brain cause to me he’s just like the coolest motherfucker out there. I remember working at a coffee shop in Toronto when I heard he passed and it was surreal cause he was so young. This song is so sad & beautiful at the same time. It sounds like he knew what it felt to be dead before he passed and that allowed him to completely surrender and see the beauty in life itself, even if just for that short period."

"Instant Crush" by Daft Punk & Julian Casablancas

"I was so happy when I came across this song last year. The melodies, the voice, the mumbling, everything about it feels so refreshing - I know it came out awhile ago but to me it still feels new and fresh."

"July" by Noah Cyrus

"Another lockdown discovery of mine. Such a sombre and beautiful song. Super relatable. I remember listening to it on repeat for 2 weeks straight."

"Rainbow Bap" by Jaden

"This song to me throws me back to summer of 2020 and in the best way possible. Probably my favourite song of his next to 'Summertime In Paris'."

"Dark Red" by Steve Lacy

"'Dark Red' captures the time when I was a teenager first falling in love with music and production and Steve is such a big inspiration still to this day!

"Peach" by Kevin Abstract ft. Dominic Fike

"What a combo of artists!! Obsessed with this dreamy hook and the emotional verses!! One of my favourite vocal parts from both artists."

"3 Nights" by Dominic Fike

"This song reminds me of such a special time in my life… falling in love for the first time and just being completely soaked up in that feeling. Been a Stan of Dom ever since I heard this masterpiece."
