Force of pop Courtney Paige Nelson drops the video for her latest single “Senses”.

The San Francisco-born California-based artist Courtney Paige Nelson started out on Americas Next Top Model Cycle 23, though she quickly pivoted to music.

Some tracks later and Nelson’s single “Saved Myself” was remixed by the DJ trio BROHUG, landing her top spot in the Danish charts. Her debut EP ‘Fever Dream’ dazzled upon release this May.

Nelson’s latest single explores grief through the senses. Staying true to her amplified pop sound, “Senses” is a track to blast through your earphones, a landslide of sound.

On the track, Nelson says: “This song is about the 5 senses we experience as humans and how they can get triggered when we experience emotional loss. How it feels to hear someone’s name, smell someone’s cologne, pass by their favorite coffee shop, as you’re mourning their loss.

For this music video, I decided to keep it very isolating. I wanted it to be mainly focused on me and the melancholy of it all. My good friend Erik Rojas and me basically ran around at night trying to shoot guerrilla style around Los Angeles. It is SO different from any video I’ve ever done, but it ended up being my favorite I’ve done. It’s one of those video that has a lot of ‘secret’ symbolism in it. I think that’s what makes it special. It’s isolating and raw/real. I really hope people watch the video and understand the sadness that the song is supposed to carry.”
