Emerging musician 10K positions himself as one to watch with the new single, "Slow Down".

Although you might not have yet heard the name 10K, the emerging artist has been a hugely active member of the Black British Music Scene for a while.

On his long list of accomplishments, 10K has previously taken to the stage at Wireless Festival, toured with Kendrick Lamar and Killer Mike, and signed to Universal and Virgin.

Known as the “man behind the pen”, 10K has produced a track with Sizzla and is credited on Mike Mago’s “Higher”, which is currently sitting at 1 million-plus streams. On top of this, 10K has accrued 3 million-plus views on YouTube across work from his previous artist profiles and music. So clearly we’re in no doubt around his skills.

10K’s latest single, “Slow Down” is his first solo single as his current artist iteration. It follows on from his feature on Scottie B’s smooth and vibrant track, “Work For It”, which was produced by BeatzByDB and released on Ten Letter Records.

Pulling on elements from R&B and AfroSwing, 10K flexes his musical prowess on “Slow Down” by switching between sweet singing to gentle and melodic rapping.

With a honeyed melody that perfectly matches the lyrical content of the song, 10K sings on the chorus: “Cos it’s only been a minute / Got me all up in my feelings and it’s only been a minute / Oh no / You just need to slow down”.

As described by 10K himself, Melodies and feel-good music is what I’m here to create for the world to enjoy” and ‘Slow Down’ is the very product of his ethos.

With “Slow Down” 10K positions himself for big things. Watch this space.
