Hip-hop songwriter and rapper Young Cardi is making waves on his new release “STRANGER”, ahead of his forthcoming EP ‘OUTSIDER’.
Leonardo Schlereth, known by his stage name Young Cardi, is a sensational songwriter, rapper, and performer making waves. Widely recognized for his authentic music style and originality, Cardi sets himself apart from his peers with numerous hits. Officially back with a brand-new single, “STRANGER” follows his popular release “STARGAZING”.
Grabbing headlines by charting in the top 10 of the Spotify Los Angeles, Miami, and Chicago pulse charts, Cardi’s music has also seen him in the top 10 of the Austrian iTunes hip-hop charts amongst the top 50 French iTunes hip-hop charts. Through his releases and admirable spirit, Cardi has built an extensive music industry network of producers and directors who all recognize his exceptional talent.
Previously collaborated with artists such as Nafe Smallz and Yung Tory, and many more in the pipeline, it’s fair to say collaborations don’t come as a struggle for the artist. Music provided Cardi with a safe space and drew him into creating his own at the age of 16. Now 20 years old, Cardi is already showing exceptional potential and is a top talent to watch out for in the coming years.
With each release, Cardi continues to fight for his position, push his limits and experiment with new sounds. Working hard to craft his sound and prove his doubters wrong, his biggest challenge was facing and overcoming the naysayers who never took him seriously. “Nobody believed in me at the start. I was on my own. However, slowly but surely, after a few releases and gaining some traction, things started to change” he explains.
But with persistence, resilience, and self-confidence, Cardi has flown over each hurdle in his path, and there’s no doubt he’s destined for more success. Speaking about his music journey and goals, Cardi says: “My purpose for making music is for people to have something to escape from their reality; when listening to my music, you can lose yourself and forget about your problems. It is also there to show people they are not alone and that we all go through the same problems”.
Young Cardi believes he’s the next big thing to come out of Europe, making waves across the continent and the US, he is currently working on his EP ‘OUTSIDER’, due for release in early 2023.
