Globally acclaimed poet, actor and mental health activist Hussain Manawer announces the launch of his latest music single 'The Best Years'.

Britain’s premier poet is returning with stanzas that journey the excruciating process of grief. Something that is entirely human and universal such as Hussain Manawer is.

The track, which features leading British singer and songwriter Sonna Rele is a stunning tribute to Hussain’s mother who sadly passed away in 2017. ‘The Best Years’ launches as the infamous count down to the Christmas number one begins with all proceeds from the single being donated to child bereavement charity Winston Wish. Ready in time to unwrap the conversation of ‘grief and loss’ at what is seen as the most wonderful time of the year. Flipping this time of year on its head, it’s important to remember that it’s ok not to be ok.

Speaking on the track Hussain Manawer revealed, “As someone who has lost someone I loved, I know I am not the only out there who feels the huge influx of pain during the most wonderful time of the year. I know there’s a world full of people just like me who face difficulties, due to loss, grief, financial pressures and family structure. My campaign is to highlight this level of pain that millions of young children have to deal with when losing a parent.”
