Bath-based rock band The Family Rain returns with a single with a sting “Head In A Hornet's Nest”.

Three brothers from Bath, William, Ollie, and Timothy Walter, first pulled together as rockers The Family Rain in 2011. 3 EPs, multiple singles, a debut album ‘Under The Volcano’, performances at Latitude, Reading and Leeds Festival, two tours supporting Miles Kane and Jake Bugg across the UK later, and the band went on hiatus in 2016.

The guitaring trio’s return was announced to fans via social media in 2019. Now they are gearing up to release their next album with Grammy-nominated producer Tom Dalgety, biding their time with the single “Head In A Hornet’s Nest” as a taste of what’s to come. With a sting in its tail, “Head In A Hornet’s Nest” stays true to the band’s signature hard rock sound, combining solid vocals with frenzied guitar sounds.

The track was inspired by a grime tune that Tim had been playing along to: “the beat and hook sounded like something that needed to be translated into a rock monster.”

With an autumn tour upcoming for The Family Rain, 2021 looks set to be a special year for the band.
