The Great Escape 2022 has announced a new slate of exciting artists, as well as details for its Road to the Great Escape event in Glasgow & Dublin.
The Great Escape 2022 is set to be a huge return for the Brighton festival after a two-year hiatus, and it’ll be welcomed in by the newly-announced like of queer hyperpop artist Rebecca Black, rocking staple act The Amazons and much more upcoming talent, including Sinead O’Brien, Yard Act, Malaki, Abby Roberts and Indigo de Souza, who will be lighting up the huge array of venues offered by the festival in May.
The festival isn’t just confined to the one Brighton weekend, either. The Great Escape has announced its special prelude event, Road to the Great Escape, which will be split over a pair of days in Glasgow (6-7 May) and Dublin (9-10 May). This prelude will offer its own impressive slate of artists, including Eli Smart, Priya Ragu, Wallice, English Teacher, Honeyglaze and more.
Both events uphold The Great Escape’s well-earned reputation as a tastemaker event, offering a platform to some of the most exciting up and coming artists about in a brilliant live environment. Its wave announcements are yet to be completed, too, so expect more acts to be added to the slate in the weeks to come.
