We get a look behind the scenes of the music video for Poundz and BackRoad Gee's latest single “Chocolate Darling”.

Born in South London, Poundz is establishing himself as one of the UK’s hottest rising talents today. With a signature flow that reflect his roots in the drill scene, early tracks including “Whose Laughing”, “SkengBop” and “Mourinho” drew attention to the young rapper’s potential. Soon recognised by Disturbing London, who signed him in 2019, Poundz’s first release for the label, “Opp Thot”, heightened that attention as it became his first UK Top 40 hit.

The success of “Opp Thot” launched Poundz into an explosive 2020. The London rapper continued to add to his notable highlights with “Tik Tok” which has over 4.5 million streams on Spotify. Poundz’s collaborations were just as hard hitting, as he joined Swarmz and Dappy on “Freaky” and contributed a knockout verse to S1mba’s Gold single “Rover” alongside ZieZie and Ivorian Doll.

Now, Poundz is joined by BackRoad Gee in their latest music video for new single “Chocolate Darling” via GRM Daily. Shot by MOBO Award winning director Kevin Hudson, the chemistry between the pair on their first collaboration is electric. Coming from Poundz’s recently released debut mixtape ‘No Smoke Without Fire’, the two also offer up their unmistakable delivery styles with fiery back-to-back bars.

With the release of his debut mixtape already making waves, Poundz is on course for his biggest year yet.
