Since dropping his debut mixtape ‘Reporting Live (From the Back of the Roads)’ at the end of last year, BackRoad Gee has spent 2022 laying the foundations for a takeover. Though he keeps his true identity close to his chest, the Notion 92 cover star is documenting his story through music.

 

From the sounds that filled his childhood home to working with JAY-Z — and hopefully one day, Adele — he reflects on the influences that shaped him, both as an artist and an individual.
