MisterWives are back with another colourful indie-pop offering, the cathartic single “Wrongside”.

Having recently launched their own imprint label, Resilient Little Records, New York City band MisterWives have returned with a new track “Wrongside”. Their last album, ‘SUPERBLOOM’ marked a moment of major transformation for frontwoman Mandy Lee and her bandmates: Etienne Bowler (drums), William Hehir (bass), Marc Campbell (guitar), and Mike Murphy (saxophone) and the latest offering signals another new chapter for the group.

This summer, MisterWives released “Easy / Where Do We Go From Here?”, followed by the band’s biggest headlining tour yet. So far in their career, they’ve hit some massive stages, from Central Park Summerstage, BottleRock, Jimmy Kimmel Live, GMA and Late Night with Seth Myers, to performing with Twenty One Pilots. The new track is catchy and emotionally honest, daring the listener to break free of negative thought patterns and critical inner dialogues. The overall message: the importance of being there for yourself. Mandy discusses the reflective nature of the track, “I have spent a lot of my time on the wrong side of my mind- the one full of fear, doubts, insecurities, shame,” continuing, “I hope “Wrongside” feels like a friend to anyone who struggles being kind to their mind.”

“Wrongside” also comes alongside detailed visuals, and the band spent countless hours helping to create the narrative. Mandy also discusses the visuals: “Having dual versions of myself in the video, the one observing and applauding this stunt in the audience while the other kept a forced and performative smile while being cut in half felt like an accurate representation of how the wrong side of your thoughts can often feel internally vs how we present externally”.
